Today was also a project day. I went with my group to do CAS project in the computer lab and we finished up the recurring entries fast as Bo hui type and i read and thus ended around 6. i find the recurring entries very useful and good for accountants basically because you just have to key in one time and the next time the transaction occurs, you either do not need to do anything as the recurring entry will process the transaction or you just need to edit some figures in the transaction that is automatically added due to recurring transaction. I learnt that with efficiency of the system comes effectiveness.

Met my groupmates at 12 today to continue our projects. i find that accpac when use carefully, is more convenient than when doing transactions manually. This is because, the accounts have already been established at the start of the project and thus after that when we type the transactions, we just need to type in the numbers and not the account name. I analyse the balance day transactions and i read and my groupmates type it out. My group also also edit some spelling errors today.

Another day of CAS project but it was done at around 5 due to lecture the whole day. I am happy because my group manage to finish AP module and GL transaction. As usual, i am the one reading out as my groupmates type. I learn to persist regardless of how tired i am.

Today me and my groupmates went back to redoing the project due to the wrong batch date that we type. We manage to finish up till the AR module done and AP opening invoices done with me reading out the things to type and Bo Hui type first and afterwards, yvonne went on to type. In the process, we met with alot of problems such as missing file after we saved and thus have to redo again. Because my group needs to redo the project, i've learned that team support is important. Also, redoing actually helps me practice accpac one more time which gives me a clearer idea of how the system works.

My group and i did balance day adjustment and recurring entry. I felt abit confused at first looking at which balance day adjustment and which recurring to do. But i learn that it is important to stay calm in times of confusion and thus i slow down my steps and think and mange to figure out the balance day adjustment with my groupmates.

Today was a fruitful day as my group manage to complete our GL entries with our unique entry but me and my groupmates stayed until 8 plus to finish. I also help out in analysing which transactions to enter first and reading out what to type. I learn that perseverence is important to achieve our goal. Today turns out to be tiring yet satisfactory.

My group met up today again and we managed to finish up Accounts Payable module. I analyse the source documents with my groupmates and Bo hui and yvonne did the GL data entry form for opening balances and i did the GL data entry form fro Transactions. Today inspired me that sharing including work is important for efficiency. And it is important to trust my teammates.

My group started with Accounts Payable Module after abit of struggle with the entries relating to Tax but it was solve after clearing the doubts with the teacher. I helped out in finding which to type and which details is needed for recording. I learn that i must ask for help when needed and i also learn that i must put more focus on more important points rather than those detailed points.

Previously, my group has already met up and done the chart of account and opening balances. It was tedious as there was alot of accounts to enter. Today, we have set up the AR module and i helped to analyse the transaction and read out the things to fill in the blanks. I learn that teamwork is important and that we have to have a good understanding of the accpac system to ensure that we are on the right track. Although there is alot of source documents to record but being careful is one way i learn to make lesser mistakes.
